K-State’s Haggerty Earns All-Big 12 Honorable Mention

Junior guard P. J. Haggerty of the Kansas State Wildcats men’s basketball team was named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention team when the conference released its postseason awards.

Haggerty ranked second in the Big 12 Conference in scoring this season, averaging 23.3 points per game. He scored in double figures in all 30 games, including 22 games with at least 20 points and five games with 30 or more.

His 698 points this season rank among the top single-season totals in program history. Haggerty also became the first Wildcat since Jacob Pullen in 2009-10 to score in double figures in 30 straight games.

Haggerty reached another milestone in February when he passed 2,000 career points.

Kansas State enters the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament as the No. 15 seed and will face BYU Cougars men’s basketball in the opening round in Kansas City, Missouri.
