Alvin L. Cook, age 93, lifetime Concordia resident, entered into rest on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas. He was born on Feb. 16, 1929 in Concordia, Kansas to Herman and Grace (Wretling) Cook.
He was a lifetime farmer and rancher in the Cloud County Community.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Jo Cook, Concordia, two daughters,  LaVeda Hobbie (Gary), Salina, KS; LuAnn Callan (Jerry), Clay Center, KS; four grandchildren, Vanessa White, John, James and Hannah Callan and one great grandson, Ben White; a niece, Bonnie Driskell (Russ), Taos, NM;
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Grace, and one sister, Lula Mae Bolander.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Concordia, Kansas with Pastors Dwight Whitead, Al Paredes and Matthew Carder officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Branch Cemetery, rural Concordia, Kansas.
