Clay Co., Kan. — Childcare providers in Clay County are soon going to be able to apply for grants to help fund their daycare whether that be cleaning supplies, toys or even certifications.
A board of community members is working to establish what the requirements will be for an application to get the grants.
Natalie Murato, Grow Clay County Director, broke down how the $20,000 available will be distributed among the different items used by childcare providers.
Murato said they’ve already had people reach out interested in the grant funding mostly existing, but there have been some newer providers since she started as the director of Grow Clay County they’ve been working with also.
