Manhattan, KS– Join the Riley County Police Department for free food and a meet-and-greet with RCPD personnel, specialty teams, vehicles and other local emergency service units at National Night Out. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 4, at City Park along Central Park Rd. from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Neighborhoods throughout Riley County are invited to join over 38 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide.
RCPD, Manhattan Fire Department, Riley County Fire District #1, Riley County EMS, Riley County Emergency Management, K-State Police Department, Fort Riley, and the Classics Car Club will all be participating.
The RCPD BBQ Team will be serving food from the RCPD BBQ Trailer. After receiving food, attendees can walk through displayed emergency response vehicles and interact with the personnel present.
