Fred Jay Moser, 73, Jewell, Kansas, passed away Feb 2, 2023 at his home with his wife, Elaine at his side. Fred was born on to Lawrence and Marjorie (Adkins) Moser. Fred was the eldest of four sons: Leroy, Nelson, and Curtis.  Fred enlisted in the Navy during his senior year and spent three years in San Diego, Ca, and one year in Thailand in the Seabees. He was honorably discharged in 1972.

Fred was an over-the-road truck driver for several companies, the last was Network Transportation, Phoenix, Az.  This is where Fred met the love of his life, Elaine Leiby.  They enjoyed thirty-two happy years together.

Fred enjoyed riding his Harley with his brothers and friends, and loved fishing and hunting.

Fred loved being with his family and grandkids.  Fred had many talents. He was a life member of Jewell County Memorial Post # 7830 VFW.

It was Fred’s wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m., on Monday February 6, 2023 at the Melby Mortuary in Mankato, Kansas with Pastor Thaddeus Hinkle officiating.

There is no visitation.
