Barbara L. Agnew, 58, of Clay Center, Kansas died Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center.  She was born on August 18, 1964 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of D Edward and Esther (Fobes) Walter.

Barbara grew up in Beloit, Kansas, graduating from Beloit High School in 1982.  She then attended Fort Hays State University, graduating in 1986.  Barbara married Robert Agnew on March 21, 1992.  She was a graphic designer for PETCO, Sweet Tomatoes and designed Pillow Pets for CJ Products.  Barbara also did freelance graphic design and most recently rebranded the City of Clay Center and KCLY logos.  She was a member of the Clay Center Country Club and Friends of the Clay Center Library.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Agnew of Clay Center, Kansas; daughters, Payton Agnew of Missoula, Montana and Madison Agnew of San Francisco, California; sisters, Joan and husband, Jerry Orr of Clay Center, Kansas and Donna Morrell of Beloit, Kansas and brother, Jim Walter of Beloit, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Friends of the Library or CCARE in care of the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2-4PM at the Clay Center Country Club .
