The annual Kansas Corn Symposium is scheduled for Thursday, January 25th, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Salina, KS.
The program for this year will start with a luncheon featuring farm succession expert, Ron Hanson of Passing on the Farm. Following the annual meeting of the Kansas Corn Growers Association (KCGA), the winners of the 2023 Kansas Corn Yield Contest will be recognized, and attendees will receive updates on ongoing Kansas Corn initiatives and programs, according to a release.
The afternoon session will include a Mental Health First Aid Training session by professionals from the Cottonwood Extension District.
The day will conclude with a reception showcasing Kansas Corn’s research partners and yield contest winners. The symposium dinner will include comments from Kansas Secretary of Agriculture Mike Beam. During the dinner, recognition will be given to Kansas Corn’s Collegiate Academy graduates and the 2024 Corn Impact Award winner.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon. Registration is free.
