I am reaching out to invite you to participate in the Concordia Farmers Market on Thursday evenings from 4 PM to 6 PM. We currently have three large produce vendors, one freeze-dried candy vendor, one vendor who sells cookies and mini fancy cakes, we have a couple Colorado peach vendors when that time comes, and we also have an egg vendor on occasion.
As you see we are missing A LOT of local products – breads, nuts, nut butters, herbs, fruit leathers, loose-leaf or bagged tea, honey, flowers, pet treats, cinnamon rolls, fruit pies, chocolate-dipped items such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, pretzels, nuts, etc., dough, dry baking mixes, canned fruit products such as canned applesauce or pie filling, candy such as hard candy, caramels, toffee, and fudge, homemade dried pasta, vanilla extract.
There is so much more to offer! Not to mention all the craft items! That is why I am reaching out to invite you to try out the Concordia Market. We will be waiving vendor fees for the 2025 season.
You might have read in the local paper or heard over the local radio the Concordia Farmers Market will be accepting SNAP cards this year as well as credit/debit cards. This will not require any extra work on the vendors end – no dealing with technology or paperwork for the vendors. I will be manning the SNAP/credit/debit booth at the market this year so vendors will simply just accept cash as usual as well as SNAP/credit/debit tokens. At 6PM vendors will then turn in any tokens they might have received to me. We plan to pay each vendor by check every two weeks.
If you think you might be interested in participating in the Concordia Farmers Market this year or have other questions please do not hesitate to reach out. Kaitlin Moore, Nutrition, Food Safety & Health Agent 785-243-8185 or kaitlinmoore@ksu.edu
