The Central Kansas Beef Summit will take place on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. The event will consist of a presentation on marketing strategies for beef cattle by Lynn Langvardt of JCCC livestock Sales and a Market Outlook and Update from K-State specialist, Dr. Glynn Tonsor.
There will be breakout sessions where those in attendance can pick and choose which topics apply to them. This year, there will be several topics to choose from, like a presentation and demonstration of the Ag Manager decision tools by Robin Reid, who is with the KSU Agricultural Economics Department. Rob Paxon of 701x will be presenting on the company’s record-keeping system and products. Will Boyer with KSU will present on utilizing drones to manage your pasture. At the end of the program will be a Q&A panel, where livestock producers and industry professionals will be answering questions and discussing strategies that are being implemented in the beef industry.
This summit will be held in Beloit, Kansas at the Beloit Methodist Church at 901 N. Bell St. RSVP by November 7th to reserve a meal. The cost to attend is $10. Late registration will be $15 at the door.
