In conjunction with its yearly “Century Farm” program, the Kansas Farm Bureau is continuing its recognition for “Sesquicentennial Farms” in 2024. According to a release, The Century Farm program recognizes those whose farms have been in the same family for over a century or more, and the Sesquicentennial Farm recognizes farms that have been in families for 150 years or more.
The Kansas Farm Bureau has shown recognition to 3,144 Century Farms, and 112 Sesquicentennial Farms since its inception in 2000.
The deadline for consideration is May 15, 2024.
Details and applications for both programs can be found at county Farm Bureau offices across Kansas or on the KFB website, www.kfb.org/centuryfarm.
