The Washington and Marshall County Conservation Districts will host a Local Working Group meeting on Tuesday, February 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. in the FNB Washington basement.

The meeting will gather local input and develop recommendations for the NRCS State Conservationist and other leaders on addressing natural resource concerns. Local recommendations, along with a statewide report, will be shared with interested parties.

Kansas Association of Conservation Districts Executive Director Dan Meyerhoff emphasized the importance of these meetings in ensuring local voices help guide USDA conservation priorities and programs. Topics will include district resource assessments, identification of priority concerns, training needs, outreach opportunities, and other issues raised by attendees.

The group encourages diverse participation from agricultural producers, landowners, organizations, agencies, and historically underserved groups. To RSVP, contact WCCD or NRCS staff.
