The Kansas Arts Commission recently gave out its grant awards for 2025-2026.

108 recipients across 35 counties in Kansas received the award, with the final amount given out totaling $1 million.

The Brown Grand Theatre in Concordia was one of the recipients. They were awarded a total of $15,745.

“These grants will support an array of organizations and initiatives that will enrich the appeal of these communities, encourage innovation, and drive economic growth,” said Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce, David Toland.

The Kansas Arts Commission is dedicated to promoting, supporting, and expanding Kansas’s creative industries and enriching communities through arts and culture, according to the Kansas Commerce website. They offer a wide range of programs, services, and grants.

“Arts shape the unique character of our Kansas communities and through these awards, community leaders and artists can continue investing locally while opening doors to new opportunities and experiences for residents and visitors alike.”
