Hanover Principal Honored with Distinguished Educator Award

Amanda Cook, Principal of St. John’s Catholic School in Hanover, has been honored with the Kansas Association of Independent and Religious Schools (KAIRS) Distinguished Educator Award for the Salina Diocese. A proud alumna of St. John’s, Amanda has dedicated her career to Catholic education. She earned her degrees in Elementary Education and School Leadership from Benedictine College. Before becoming principal in 2019, she taught and coached in Hanover for 20 years.

Known for her open-door policy and commitment to fostering a welcoming, supportive environment, Amanda ensures St. John’s excels in educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Superintendent Geoff Andrews highlights her inspiring service to students, staff, and the community. Amanda will receive the award at the KAIRS Annual Banquet in Topeka on February 10.
