Five individuals have been chosen for the Kansas State High School Activities Association Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The awards will be presented during 2024, either at a KSHSAA-sponsored state function/championship or locally upon request. The Class of 2024 inductees include Jeff Hulse, Chris Kaufman (Posthumously), Francine Martin, David Shelly, and Roger Timken.
Jeff Hulse coached three sports at Olathe East High School, primarily excelling in softball. Chris Kaufman officiated various sports for 40 years, leaving a notable legacy. Francine Martin exhibited quality leadership during her 19-year tenure with the KSHSAA. David Shelly achieved a perfect record as scholars bowl coach at Wichita East. Roger Timken, a standout from Cimarron, was a three-sport athlete and excelled in the 1966 State Track and Field Championship.
The Hall of Fame, located in Topeka, is open during business hours and can also be accessed online through the KSHSAA “Gallery of Champions.” Eligibility for the Hall of Fame requires outstanding contributions to interschool activities. Nominations for the 2025 induction must be submitted before November 1, 2024.
