The CCCHS Hall of Fame committee met recently to review the individuals nominated for the Hall of Fame. One individual was selected for the Class of 2026, and this person is local entrepreneur Ginger Walker.
Ginger is a graduate of CCCHS, class of 1978, and the owner of Ginger’s Uptown. Ginger started her business adventures by purchasing a shoe store in 1986 and, in 1993, purchased the current building and concentrated on apparel and accessories. Through the years, she has added home decor, kitchen supplies, and gourmet food selection, along with launching a full e-commerce website.
Ginger has grown from an enthusiastic student working in John Browne’s store into a person who has transformed a dream into reality and has become a valued member of the Clay Center community.
The Induction ceremony will be held on March 30th at 7:00 p.m.
