The Marshall County Arts Cooperative (MCAC) was recently awarded a $16,244 grant from the Kansas Arts Commission. The funds help support museums, art education, music, dance, visual arts, theater, creative writing, murals, and other creative projects throughout Kansas.
Wayne Kruse, MCAC Chairman, said grants from statewide organizations or national organizations are really important in bringing the Arts to the community.
The grant will help to bring various Artists to Marshall County. Kruse spoke of a couple of Artists that will perform for the public, along with connecting with Marshall County students.
Grants like these are very important in helping to keep art in rural communities.
