Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland announced Tuesday that more than $8.7 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been awarded to support 16 projects across the state, including two in Cloud County.

The City of Miltonvale has been awarded $500,000 in CDBG funding, with a local match of $125,000 for the installation of new ADA-compliant playground equipment at Tootleville Park.

The City of Clyde will receive $650,000 in CDBG funding, with a $275,000 local match to help rehabilitate a building in the city into a Community Center.

Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce Toland stated that CDBG funding is one of the most effective tools for supporting community needs in Kansas. He highlighted that the grants provide local groups with resources to improve infrastructure, quality of life, and economic strength, helping build more vibrant and resilient communities across the state.
