NCK Tech Students Compete at SkillsUSA Competition

From April 22nd-26th, three programs from North Central Kansas Technical College participated in the annual SkillsUSA Competition in Hutchinson, Kansas. The three programs participating were Welding, Diesel Technology, and Automotive Technology. Several students from NCK Tech earned gold medals.

Austin Vowinckel will be going on to compete at SkillsUSA National, in Atlanta, Georgia in June.

SkillsUSA medalists from the NCK Tech Diesel Technology Program:

Gold Medal: Austin Vowinckel

Silver Medal: Michael Starr

Bronze Medal: Linden Pacey

Students in the welding program on the Beloit campus also earned both gold and bronze medals. The welding fabrication team will be advancing onto the SkillsUSA National Competition as well.
