Grow Clay County’s annual “Best of” Nominations are currently open. Members of the community are encouraged to nominate their favorite businesses or individuals that they feel deserve to be considered “Best of” for 2024.
Kathryn Doster-Tipsword, Event Coordinator, gave a rundown of the different categories, which include Business of the Year, Best Non-Profit, and more.
“We have two different grand categories and then we have little categories in each. We have our Best of Nominations and Business of the Year Nominations.”
“Under the Best of Nominations, categories are:
- Best Hospitality Business
- Best Storefront
- Best Nonprofit/Government Agency
- Best Trade Business
- Best Retail Business
- Best Customer Service
- and Best Professional Business”
“Then we have our other large nomination group that is Business of the Year, and that houses four different categories.”
“Categories are:
- Business of the Year
- Employee of the Year
- Community Catalyst of the Year
- and Young Entrepreneur of the Year”
Tipsword said each category has a list of eligible criteria, which can be found on Grow Clay County’s Facebook page or website. Nominations are open through January 24th, with winners being announced at their Annual Meeting on February 15th.
