Several Area Seniors to be Recognized as Governor’s Scholars

Every year many Kansas High School Seniors who finished in the top one percent of their graduating class are honored as Governor’s Scholars. The 2024 Governor’s Scholars Award Program will take place on Sunday, May 5th at Washburn University.

Multiple Students from the area received this prestigious award and will be honored as Governor’s Scholars. Area 2024 Governor’s Scholars are:

· Morgan Peters from Clay Center High School

· Brian Draper from Wakefield High School

· Weston Girard from Clifton-Clyde High School

· Mason Knudsen from Glasco High School

· Hayden Behrends from Hanover High School

· Ethan Kennedy from Miltonvale High School

· Ella Bottner from Concordia High School

· Camryn Reynolds from Republic County High School

· Sydney Jueneman from Washington County High School

· Meleia Ingram from Bennington High School

· And Shaa Bawa from Minneapolis High School

These students make up the top academic one percent of Kansas High School Seniors. This program has been recognizing outstanding graduating seniors for the past 41 years.
