Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization focused on advancing patient safety. This grade reflects Via Christi’s dedication to creating a safe, reliable environment for every patient. Leapfrog assigns grades of “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” or “F” to hospitals nationwide based on more than 30 safety performance metrics, including prevention of accidents, errors, infections, and other preventable incidents.
This is the seventh “A” grade for Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan in the last four years. The hospital
previously earned the award in spring 2021, fall 2021, spring 2022, spring 2023, fall 2023, spring 2024 and
now fall 2024, reflecting the hospital’s ongoing dedication to patient safety and quality care.

Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan has also received a 4-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hospital Quality Star Ratings and is one of 350 hospitals nationwide to receive a 5-star rating for cleanliness. The hospital is listed as one of America’s Best-in-State Hospitals 2025 by Newsweek and Statista.
