10th Annual USD 379 Expect Success Celebrates USD 379 Employees, Retirees

On Thursday, May 16, USD 379 held their 10th annual Expect Success Celebration.

The event was held in the Martyn-Snodgrass Auditorium at Clay Center Community High School. It celebrated several retiring USD 379 employees, the district’s current Teachers of the Year Cari Pfizenmaier and Andrea Flegler, the district’s Teacher of the Year finalists Angie Adam-s and Nicole Schurle, and recognized Chris Freeman and Nicole Edwards for 25 years with USD 379.

The celebration also awarded Sara Brockman with the Patti Ferguson Helping Hands Award, and Deanna Coughlin, a counselor at Lincoln Elementary, with Employee of the Year.

USD 379’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction Jaclyn Pfizenmaier said the yearly Expect Success rally is meant to, “celebrate those individuals that are retiring and had given quite a few years to the profession or any way in public education, not just teachers, but any job within the school system.
