A 15-year-old boy was arrested in connection with an online threat targeting Eisenhower Middle School in Topeka, Kansas.
WIBW reported that according to the Topeka Police Department, the juvenile was taken to the Shawnee County Juvenile Department of Correction on charges of criminal threat and criminal use of weapons. The threat, made on social media, prompted police to respond to Eisenhower Middle School shortly after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10.
Authorities confirmed that no other schools were involved. The FBI assisted local officers in the investigation, and the school notified families about the incident.
The Topeka Police Department thanked the FBI for their support and collaboration in addressing the threat.
