Aggieville Mourns the Loss of Nico’s Little Italy Owner, Nicolette Unruh, at 36

Nicolette Unruh, the beloved owner and operating partner of Nico’s Little Italy in Aggieville, passed away at the age of 36. Her untimely death has left a void in the community and in the hearts of those who knew her. Skyler Wikoff, service manager at Nico’s, reminisced about Unruh’s dream of running her own restaurant and expressed his deep gratitude for being a part of fulfilling that dream.

In her memory, Nico’s Little Italy has temporarily closed its doors to allow time for mourning. According to an automated email response from the restaurant, it will remain closed until Wednesday, November 15.

Nicolette Unruh is survived by her husband Nathan “Nate” Uhl, her step-son Tristen Uhl, and a loving family. Visitation and memorial services are scheduled to honor her life at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, followed by a burial at Bergthal Mennonite Cemetery. Her loss is deeply felt in the community, and she will be remembered with love and fondness.
