After years of dedication to creating a senior living campus in Junction City, Aging Well, a non-profit focused on promoting healthy aging, has decided to disband due to economic challenges and evolving community needs. Despite this outcome, the organization made significant progress, supported by donors, volunteers, and community partners.
Co-chairs LaDonna Junghans and Duane Blythe expressed gratitude for the community’s support and announced that the remaining funds would be transferred to the Greater Geary Community Foundation. This respected local organization will utilize the funds to support community initiatives and programs benefiting Junction City and Geary County residents.
Although Aging Well will no longer operate independently, its mission to enhance the well-being of seniors will endure through these contributions. The organization remains thankful for the support it received and optimistic that its legacy will continue to positively impact the community it served.
