CHEROKEE COUNTY – Two subjects were arrested Tuesday night following an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Baxter Springs Police Department.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, KBI agents and police officers conducted a traffic stop and a search warrant at the residence of 400 Washington Ave. in Baxter Springs, Kansas. During the search, pills believed to contain fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located.
Two individuals, who were present when the search warrant was conducted, were arrested.
Braydon J. Krokroskia, 26, of Baxter Springs, was arrested for possession of opiates with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of sale drug paraphernalia, and possession of use paraphernalia.
Brittany A. St. Clair, 22, of Baxter Springs, was also arrested for possession of marijuana.
Following their arrests, the subjects were booked into the Cherokee County Jail. Additional charges are expected, and formal charges are pending.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing.
