The Kansas City Chiefs announced Friday that Eric Bieniemy has been named the team’s offensive coordinator for the 2026 season. It marks his second stint in the role with Kansas City.
Bieniemy previously served as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2022. During that span, the Chiefs led the NFL in points per game, total touchdowns and total yards, becoming one of the league’s most productive offenses.
After leaving Kansas City, Bieniemy spent the 2023 season as offensive coordinator with the Washington Commanders. He then worked on UCLA’s coaching staff in 2024 before returning to the NFL in 2025 as the Chicago Bears’ running backs coach.
With Chicago, Bieniemy helped guide a rushing attack that ranked third in the league, including a career year from D’Andre Swift and a strong rookie season from Kyle Monangai.
Bieniemy now returns to Kansas City to rejoin the Chiefs’ coaching staff.
