Kansas State Wildcats baseball scored six runs in the fifth inning Saturday to defeat the SIUE Cougars baseball 8-4 at Tointon Family Stadium and clinch the weekend series.
K-State (10-4) fell behind 3-1 in the third inning after SIUE’s Chase Bloomer hit a three-run home run. The Wildcats answered later in the game, tying the score before the sixth-run fifth inning.
Micah Kendrick provided the key hit with a three-run homer that pushed the Wildcats ahead 7-3.
Tanner Duke earned the win, allowing three runs on two hits over five innings while striking out seven. Reliever Matt Flores pitched 3⅔ innings and gave up one run. Tazwell Butler recorded the final out for the save.
K-State finished with eight runs on 11 hits. The Wildcats have now won 11 straight home series dating back to the 2024 season.
