U.S. Senators Jerry Moran, a senior member of the Senate Commerce and Appropriations Committees, and Jeanne Shaheen, a senior member of the Senate Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committees, are leading a bipartisan congressional delegation to France for the Paris Air Show. The event, running from June 16 to June 22, will showcase aerospace and defense manufacturers from Kansas, New Hampshire, and across the United States.

The inaugural Paris Air Show began as a part of the Paris Motor Show in 1908. The next year it expanded and dedicated itself to be an aircraft show, attracting more than 100,000 visitors, according to its website. Since 1949 it has been held every odd year, relocating to its current location at Paris Le Bourget Airport in 1953. The show has obtained several honors, including hosting the first ever Concorde flight, and receiving official accreditation from French President Emmanuel Macron.

This year the show includes highlights such as the Paris Space Hub, a hall entirely dedicated to the space ecosystem, and Paris Air Lab, an interactive and immersive experience.

Since 2023, Senators Moran and Shaheen have led bipartisan delegations to both the Paris and Farnborough air shows to highlight U.S. aerospace and defense capabilities.
