The BNSF Railroad will be conducting essential emergency repairs at the railroad crossing located at HWY 15/Buckeye Ave and SW 3rd St on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Abilene.
Work is set to begin at 8:00 AM and is expected to be completed by 5:00 PM the same day.
During this time, the crossing will be temporarily closed to ensure safety and proper repair work. The road will reopen promptly once the repairs are finished.
For the duration of the repairs, all truck traffic will be diverted from HWY 15/Buckeye Ave to Cedar St, using the intersections at W 1st St and SW 6th St. We ask that all drivers plan accordingly and follow the posted detour routes.
