Boot Hill Casino Launches $10,000 Scholarship with FHSU to Boost Tourism Careers in Southwest Kansas

Boot Hill Casino & Resort, managed by BHCMC, LLC, a subsidiary of Butler National Corporation, has partnered with Fort Hays State University to launch a new scholarship program. Starting in Fall 2025, the Boot Hill TRAIL Program will award $10,000 annually to support students from Southwestern Kansas pursuing degrees in Tourism and Hospitality Management through FHSU’s Department of Applied Business Studies.

The initiative reflects Boot Hill Casino’s commitment to growing the region’s tourism industry by investing in local talent. Scholarships will support both classroom learning and internships, with recipients chosen based on academics, community service, and passion for the field.

Fort Hays State University is known for strong applied business programs, and this partnership aligns with both institutions’ goal to boost workforce development in Southwest Kansas.

Details on eligibility and applications will be available from FHSU later this year. Visit BootHillTRAIL.com for more information.
