The week of Feb. 27, the Kansas Department of Transportation will begin work to replace the bridge on 800 Avenue over west Holland Creek, 1.6 miles north of Carlton in Dickinson County.
During bridge construction, traffic will move through the work zone at a reduced speed via a temporary roadway known as a shoo-fly.
Reece Construction of Salina is the prime contractor and has scheduled this $802,484 project to be completed by August 2023, weather permitting.
KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone. To stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas, go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
