Cameron Shines in Royals’ Win Over Blue Jays

Rookie left-hander Noah Cameron delivered another strong outing Saturday night at Kauffman Stadium, helping the Royals secure a 2-1 victory over the Blue Jays in what was likely his final home start of 2025.

Cameron, a St. Joseph native, held first-place Toronto to one run on three hits over 6 2/3 innings, lowering his ERA to 2.90. He left to a standing ovation after his 98th and final pitch of the night.

Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino provided the Royals’ offense with back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning. John Schreiber, Taylor Clarke, and Carlos Estévez combined to preserve the win, with Estévez collecting his 41st save.

Cameron’s 10th quality start kept Kansas City’s playoff hopes alive and gave the rookie nine wins on the season, trailing only Cade Horton and Tomoyuki Sugano among MLB first-year pitchers.
