Castillo Lifts Wildcats to Road Win Over Creighton

Kansas State used a strong finish from sophomore David Castillo to secure an 83-76 win over Creighton on Saturday afternoon at CHI Health Center Omaha.

Castillo scored six of his game-high 19 points in the final two minutes as the Wildcats held off a late Bluejays rally. Kansas State built a 51-33 halftime lead after shooting well from three-point range, then survived a second-half push that cut the margin to three points late.

K-State improved to 7-4 and earned its first non-conference road win since December 2023. The victory was also the Wildcats’ first in Omaha since 1987.

Junior Abdi Bashir Jr. scored 18 points, including five three-pointers in the first half. Senior Khamari McGriff added 12 points, and P.J. Haggerty finished with 10.

Creighton was led by Josh Dix and Isaac Traudt, who scored 18 points each. Kansas State closed the game at the free throw line to seal the win.
