Manhattan, Kansas – Aug. 29, 2023 – Chase Bank celebrated a momentous occasion today with the opening of its first branch in Manhattan. The event, held at the Chase Branch, marked a significant step forward for the community, ushering in new employment opportunities and economic prospects.

Mayor Mark Hatesohl and representatives from the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce joined the festivities, underlining the collaborative effort that led to this milestone. The event featured an announcement of donations to two local nonprofit organizations, one dedicated to empowering Black entrepreneurs and the other focusing on providing college financial education at Kansas State.

Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the Kansas State Marching Band performed, creating an upbeat ambiance. The new branch, with its modern design and state-of-the-art banking technology, aims to provide enhanced financial services to the community. Mayor Hatesohl highlighted the significance of Chase’s presence, stating, “When Chase enters a community, it brings a commitment to providing first-class financial services plus a passion to provide financial health services to help close the racial wealth gap.” Chase’s commitment to supporting local needs and its expansion efforts across all 48 contiguous states are evident in this latest venture.
