Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones earned the No. 1 spot among all NFL interior defensive tackles in Pro Football Focus’ (PFF) annual positional rankings for the second consecutive year.
Jones posted a 90.2 grade in 2024, marking seven seasons with grades above 88.0 in his nine-year career. His performance over the past three years, measured by a 1.69 PFF Wins Above Replacement (WAR), leads all interior defenders.
In 15 games last season, Jones recorded 74 total pressures, including at least five pressures in nine contests. His consistency and dominance inside the defensive line helped him stand out as one of the league’s top interior defenders.
Jones became the second Chiefs player this offseason to earn a No. 1 ranking from PFF, joining quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
