The Holiday Season is quickly approaching and the Clay Center Christmas Parade is planning to kick it off in style.
On November 24th at 5pm, several local organizations, businesses, and citizens will gather at the Clay Center Courthouse square. The night will begin with a dance performance from Stark Dance Studio, a concert from Tiger Chorale, and Country Side Crusaders 4-H club will recite excerpts from A Christmas Story and A Reason For the Season to round out the opening festivities.
The Parade will begin at 6pm. Laura Schwartz, one of the event organizers, details the parade’s route:
Schwartz says that there will also be carriage rides from Champ & Company, as well as a free will donation dinner hosted by CCARE to raise funds for their shelter.
Schwartz says that folks can sign up using the forms available on the event website at claycenterchristmas.com. It is free to participate and forms can be turned in to Schwartz until the start of the parade.
