Two physical therapists at Clay County Medical Center (CCMC), Alicia Crowl and April Fahey, completed the necessary coursework to be classified as Pelvic Health Physical Therapists, adding additional therapy care to the community.
Before this patients had to travel to Manhattan, Junction City, or Abilene to receive care for this treatment. Alice Crowl said this expands on their specialties that they can do with physical therapy.
Fahey stated that previously, the communities they serve faced challenges in accessing specialized pelvic health care. Crowl said she is excited to bring this opportunity to the community.
