Concrete patching to begin Monday on I-70 in Dickinson County

On Monday, April 1, The Kansas Department of Transportation plans begin concrete pavement patching on eastbound and westbound I-70 in Dickinson County.

Work will begin about 2 miles east of Exit 281 (K-43/Enterprise) and continue east 6 miles to the Dickinson/Geary County line.

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane at a reduced speed through the work zone. Drivers should expect minimal delays, not exceeding five minutes.

Prado Construction LLC of Valley Center is the prime contractor for this $2.03 million project and has scheduled work to be completed by August, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.  To stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas, go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
