Dollar General Recalls Clover Valley® Instant Coffee Over Possible Glass Contamination

Dollar General Corporation is recalling three lots of its 8-ounce Clover Valley® Instant Coffee due to possible glass contamination.

Lot numbers and best-by dates are printed around the neck of each container. The recall follows a customer report alerting employees to the issue. While no injuries or illnesses have been reported, ingesting glass fragments can cause serious harm, including damaged teeth, cuts to the mouth or throat, and intestinal injury.

Customers who purchased the affected product should throw it away and contact Dollar General for a full refund, including tax. Refunds can be requested by emailing customercare@dollargeneral.com or calling 1-888-309-9030 between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. CST, seven days a week.

The company is investigating the source of the contamination and apologized for the inconvenience. The recall is being conducted in coordination with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Clover Valley® Instant Coffee was sold and distributed between July 9-21, 2025 exclusively in Dollar General retail stores located in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA,ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI ,WV, and WY.
