This March, the American Red Cross is asking donors to help the nation’s blood supply recover from a severe shortage and support their own health by giving blood. Donations of all blood types are needed to keep the supply steady as we move into spring.
Even as some areas are still clearing snow, the risk of severe spring weather is rising. Now is a good time to schedule a blood donation to prevent future disruptions in patient care.
From March 1–31, 2026, donors will also receive A1C testing with successful blood, platelet, or plasma donations (one result per donor in 2026) and a $15 Amazon Gift Card by email. More details are at RedCrossBlood.org/March.
Schedule an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS, or use the Red Cross Blood Donor App.
