In 2015, Dr. Donald Blakeslee and his team re-discovered the Native American city of Etzanoa near Arkansas City. Join Dr. Blakeslee at the Smoky Hill Museum for an update on his groundbreaking work. He will briefly review how he located Etzanoa, a city that once housed over 20,000 people, and share how his discoveries have expanded far beyond this site. These findings may even change the course of Kansas history. Dr. Blakeslee, a Wichita State University archaeologist, author, and renowned speaker, will lead the discussion.
This free presentation will take place on April 3 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Smoky Hill Museum. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also watch the presentation from home via Zoom.
