Dustin Colquitt Retires as a Member of the Chiefs

Dustin Colquitt, the Kansas City Chiefs’ all-time leader in games played, officially retired as a member of the franchise this week. Colquitt signed a one-day contract Wednesday to end a career that spanned 15 seasons and 238 regular-season games, nearly 25% of the team’s history.

Drafted in the third round in 2005, Colquitt ranks seventh all-time in NFL punts and served as the Chiefs’ holder on over 900 field goal and extra-point attempts. His steady presence bridged multiple Chiefs eras.

Including postseason, Colquitt appeared in 250 games, finishing with Super Bowl LIV — the Chiefs’ first championship in 50 years. He recorded two punts and five holds in that game, helping secure the title.

Colquitt’s legacy is now permanently tied to the Chiefs franchise.
