The Fly Kansas Air Tour will return to Salina this fall, bringing aircraft, pilots, and aviation education opportunities to the community. The stop is set for Friday, Sept. 26, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Hangar 600, 2720 Arnold Court.

The Salina Airport Authority is partnering with K-State Salina, 1 Vision Aviation, the AIM Center of Excellence at SLN, the Salina Chamber of Commerce, Visit Salina, and the Greater Salina Community Foundation to host the event. Salina last welcomed the tour in 2023.

Along with aircraft displays, visitors can meet pilots from across Kansas, explore STEM stations with K-State students, and talk with local aviation faculty about training that leads to high-demand careers. Both K-State Salina and the AIM Center of Excellence will highlight programs for students.

The AIM Center offers hands-on training in advanced facilities, with graduates of its six-week course seeing nearly 100% job placement.

Organizers emphasize the event is free, family-friendly, and a way to connect Salina’s strong aviation heritage with the next generation. More information is available at www.kansasairports.org.
