Clay Center Community Middle School student Tayla Forslund recently won the CCCMS Spelling Bee by correctly spelling the word “dictatorship.”
The Clay Center Community Middle School hosted their school wide spelling bee on January 22. This competition included CCCMS students from sixth grade to eighth grade.
CCCMS English teacher and spelling bee organizer Marah Koster said there were 62 participants in the event.
Forslund will go on to represent CCCMS at the District Spelling Bee that includes students from Clay Center and Wakefield on February 11.
