Fort Hays State University announced it will be having a groundbreaking celebration of the new Bickle-Schmidt Athletic Complex during Homecoming on Friday, October 4, at 9 a.m. in the south end zone of Lewis Field Stadium.

As FHSU’s athletic programs continue to grow, the need for enhanced training facilities has become clear. The new two-story athletic complex will cover nearly 20,000 square feet, positioning Fort Hays State as a leader in sports medicine.

Attendees can look forward to remarks from student-athletes, Director of Athletics Curtis Hammeke, football Head Coach Chris Brown, and Director of Sports Medicine Nate Hepner, among others.
