Fort Riley, Kansas – From August 29 to 31, Fort Riley, home of the 1st Infantry Division, will be conducting a crucial blood drive in collaboration with the Armed Services Blood Program. Held at the Long Fitness Center, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Since its inception in 1962, the Armed Services Blood Program has been the official blood collection initiative for the U.S. military. With an unwavering commitment to providing top-quality blood products, the program aids military healthcare operations worldwide, spanning from active combat zones to local hospitals. This drive underscores the significance of volunteer donors, as the Military Healthcare System depends on their generosity to meet daily blood requirements.
Open to active duty military, veterans, retirees, civilian personnel, families, and the community at large, this drive exemplifies the spirit of unity and service ingrained in the military community.
