Gas Prices Rise Slightly Nationwide, Diesel Prices Dip, Kansas Remains Cheaper

Gas prices have seen a slight increase this week in Kansas and nationwide, according to AAA. The national average price for a gallon of unleaded fuel on Thursday morning was $3.12, up 5 cents from $3.07 last week but down 4 cents from $3.16 a month ago. The current price is also 39 cents lower than $3.51 a year ago.

Diesel prices, however, have decreased slightly this week. The national average for a gallon of diesel on Thursday was $3.60, down 1 cent from $3.61 last week, 9 cents from $3.69 a month ago, and 45 cents from $4.05 a year ago. Fuel prices in Kansas were lower than the national average on Thursday.
