Governor Laura Kelly has announced the opening of applications for the second round of the Digital Opportunities to Connect Kansans (DOCK) program. The initiative will provide $1.95 million to help improve digital skills across the state.
The DOCK program enhances access to digital resources by offering grants to fund digital skills development programs across Kansas. Updated guidelines reduce the required matching funds, with a maximum individual award of $250,000.
The Kansas Office of Broadband Development (KOBD) urges local governments, community organizations, educational institutions, and other groups to keep working together to strengthen Kansas communities through digital innovation.
“Digital skills are essential for people to be able to participate in the modern economy and obtain high-paying jobs,” Senate President Ty Masterson said. “DOCK is a targeted program to help ensure Kansans who participate are on the pathway to success.” For information on eligible applicants, click here. KOBD will host a webinar on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 11:00 a.m. to cover funding priorities and application guidelines. Click here to register.
