Haggerty Earns Preseason All-American Honors

Kansas State junior guard P.J. Haggerty has been named to the CBS Sports Preseason All-America Third Team, adding to his preseason recognition as a First Team All-American by @CBBAnalytics. Haggerty was also selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 team by league coaches.

Haggerty had a standout 2024-25 season at Memphis, averaging 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He set an AAC single-season record with 759 points, ranking third nationally in scoring, and earned AAC Player of the Year honors along with AP All-American recognition.

He joins teammates Abdi Bashir Jr. and Mobi Ikegwuruka at the Big 12 Media Day on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in Kansas City. The Wildcats open exhibition play Friday, Oct. 24, at Missouri, followed by a home exhibition against Division II Newman on Oct. 31. The season opener is Tuesday, Nov. 4, against UNC Greensboro.
